Muhammad – The Curse of Muslims
We saw in our previous rebuttal how this particular Muslim neophyte quoted specific [O]ld [T]estament passages that warn against trusting in man for salvation and used that to attack the [N]ew [T]estament teaching that Jesus is the Savior. Since we want to make sure that Muslims are being consistent we have therefore decided to test the dawagandist’s own beliefs concerning Muhammad in light of the teaching of the OT.
As the passages referenced by the polemicist teach, the Holy Bible is clear that a man should not hope in another human for salvation and help since all humans are corruptible, sinful flesh. This is why there are plenty of texts which exhort man to trust in the living and holy God such as the following:
“Thus says the LORD: ‘Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his arm, whose heart turns away from the LORD. He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come. He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.’ The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately corrupt; who can understand it? I the LORD search the mind and try the heart, to give to every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.’” Jeremiah 17:4-10
According to the Quran Muhammad was a sinner in desperate need of salvation:
Surely, We have sent down to you (O Muhammad) the Book (this Qur'an) in truth that you might judge between men by that which Allah has shown you (i.e. has taught you through Divine Inspiration), so be not a pleader for the treacherous. And seek the Forgiveness of Allah, certainly, Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And argue not on behalf of those who deceive themselves. Verily, Allah does not like anyone who is a betrayer of his trust, and indulges in crime. S. 4:105-107 Hilali-Khan
Then have patience (O Muhammad). Lo! the promise of Allah is true. And ask forgiveness of thy sin, and hymn the praise of thy Lord at fall of night and in the early hours. S. 40:55 Pickthall
So know (O Muhammad) that there is no God save Allah, and ask forgiveness for thy sin and for believing men and believing women. Allah knoweth (both) your place of turmoil and your place of rest. S. 47:19 Pickthall
In fact, Muhammad was so sinful that he had the audacity to frown on a blind that sought his attention just because he was distracting him from preaching to some of the rich Quraish chiefs!
(The Prophet) frowned and turned away, Because there came to him the blind man (i.e. 'Abdullah bin Umm-Maktum, who came to the Prophet while he was preaching to one or some of the Quraish chiefs). But what could tell you that per chance he might become pure (from sins)? Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? As for him who thinks himself self-sufficient, To him you attend; What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). But as to him who came to you running. And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, Nay, (do not do like this), indeed it (these Verses of this Qur'an) are an admonition, S. 80:1-11 Hilali-Khan
Notice how Allah had to intervene by reprimanding Muhammad for failing to help and answer the blind man. This wonderfully illustrates the truth of the Holy Bible that anyone who seeks help or salvation from a sinner like Muhammad is clearly cursed.
What makes this all the more ironic is that in this example Muhammad frowned on a blind man who was seeking guidance whereas in Q. 4:105-107 he pleaded with the treacherous who obviously had no interest in being guided!
The Quran further attests that Muhammad was a mortal who would die like all men and who was uncertain of his salvation:
Verily, you (O Muhammad) will die and verily, they (too) will die. Then, on the Day of Resurrection, you will be disputing before your Lord. S. 39:30-31 Hilali-Khan
Say (O Muhammad): "I am not a new thing among the Messengers (of Allah) (i.e. I am not the first Messenger) nor do I know what will be done with me or with you. I only follow that which is revealed to me, and I am but a plain warner." S. 46:9 Hilali-Khan
In light of the above testimony Muhammad is clearly one of those corruptible humans whom the Holy Bible says should not be trusted.
However, Muhammad commanded his followers to fully obey and submit to both Allah and him:
Say, (O Muhammad, to mankind): If ye love Allah, follow me; Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. Say: Obey Allah AND the messenger. But if they turn away, lo! Allah loveth not the disbelievers (in His guidance). S. 3:31-32 Pickthall
We sent no Messenger, but to be obeyed by Allah's Leave. If they (hypocrites), when they had been unjust to themselves, had come to you (Muhammad) and begged Allah's Forgiveness, and the Messenger had begged forgiveness for them: indeed, they would have found Allah All-Forgiving (One Who accepts repentance), Most Merciful. But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission. S. 4:64-65 Hilali-Khan
Moreover, the hadith records Muhammad as telling his followers that he would intercede for them on the last day:
Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Umar:
The Prophet said, "A man keeps on asking others for something till he comes on the Day of Resurrection without any piece of flesh on his face." The Prophet added, "On the Day of Resurrection, the Sun will come near (to, the people) to such an extent that the sweat will reach up to the middle of the ears, so, when all the people are in that state, they will ask Adam for help, and then Moses, and then Muhammad." The sub-narrator added, "Muhammad will intercede with Allah to judge amongst the people. He will proceed on till he will hold the ring of the door (of Paradise) and then Allah will exalt him to Maqam Mahmud (the privilege of intercession, etc.). And all the people of the gathering will send their praises to Allah. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 2, Book 24, Number 553)
In this next report Muhammad asserts that he will go and take out the believers from Hellfire:
Narrated Ma’bad bin Hilal Al’Anzi:
We, i.e., some people from Basra gathered and went to Anas bin Malik, and we went in company with Thabit Al-Bunnani so that he might ask him about the Hadith of Intercession on our behalf. Behold, Anas was in his palace, and our arrival coincided with his Duha prayer. We asked permission to enter and he admitted us while he was sitting on his bed. We said to Thabit, "Do not ask him about anything else first but the Hadith of Intercession." He said, "O Abu Hamza! There are your brethren from Basra coming to ask you about the Hadith of Intercession." Anas then said, "Muhammad talked to us saying, ‘On the Day of Resurrection the people will surge with each other like waves, and then they will come to Adam and say, ‘Please intercede for us with your Lord.’ He will say, ‘I am not fit for that but you'd better go to Abraham as he is the Khalil of the Beneficent.’ They will go to Abraham and he will say, ‘I am not fit for that, but you'd better go to Moses as he is the one to whom Allah spoke directly.’ So they will go to Moses and he will say, ‘I am not fit for that, but you'd better go to Jesus as he is a Spirit from Allah and His Word.’ They will go to Jesus and he will say, ‘I am not fit for that, but you'd better go to Muhammad.’
“They would come to me and I would say, ‘I am for that.’ Then I will ask for my Lord's permission, and it will be given, and then He will inspire me to praise Him with such praises as I do not know now. So I will praise Him with those praises and will fall down, prostrate before Him. Then it will be said, ‘O Muhammad, raise your head and speak, for you will be listened to; and ask, for your will be granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted.’ I will say, ‘O Lord, my followers! My followers!’ And then it will be said, ‘Go and take out of Hell (Fire) all those who have faith in their hearts, equal to the weight of a barley grain.’ I will go and do so and return to praise Him with the same praises, and fall down (prostrate) before Him. Then it will be said, ‘O Muhammad, raise your head and speak, for you will be listened to, and ask, for you will be granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted.’ I will say, ‘O Lord, my followers! My followers!’ It will be said, ‘Go and take out of it all those who have faith in their hearts equal to the weight of a small ant or a mustard seed.’ I will go and do so and return to praise Him with the same praises, and fall down in prostration before Him. It will be said, ‘O, Muhammad, raise your head and speak, for you will be listened to, and ask, for you will be granted (your request); and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted.’ I will say, ‘O Lord, my followers!’ Then He will say, ‘Go and take out (all those) in whose hearts there is faith even to the lightest, lightest mustard seed. (Take them) out of the Fire.’ I will go and do so.” …
“Anas told me the same as he told you and said that the Prophet added, ‘I then return for a fourth time and praise Him similarly and prostrate before Him me the same as he ‘O Muhammad, raise your head and speak, for you will be listened to; and ask, for you will be granted (your request): and intercede, for your intercession will be accepted.’ I will say, ‘O Lord, allow me to intercede for whoever said, ‘None has the right to be worshiped except Allah.’ Then Allah will say, ‘By my Power, and my Majesty, and by My Supremacy, and by My Greatness, I will take out of Hell (Fire) whoever said: ‘None has the right to be worshipped except Allah.’" (Sahih al-Bukhari, Volume 9, Book 93, Number 601)
It is evident that by claiming to be the one who will personally take out Muslims from hell Muhammad is making himself out to be the savior of believers.
In light of the above the neophyte is now faced with a problem. In commanding his followers to completely surrender to him just as they surrender to Allah and in making himself an intercessor that has the ability to save Muhammad has become a curse for the Muslims.
It must be kept in mind that according to the Holy Bible Muhammad is a mere flesh and blood sinner and is therefore incapable of saving anyone. This, therefore, means that Muslims are cursed for fully submitting to and trusting in Muhammad, a false prophet and sinful man who took his adopted son’s wife in marriage, abolished adoption, married a minor, allowed women to be prostituted to satisfy the lust of his men and passed that off as temporary marriages (Mut’a), condoned the raping and selling of captive women even if they are still married, and murdered countless number of people!
With the foregoing in perspective perhaps the dawagandist will be consistent for a change and admit that Muhammad is a curse whom Muslims must reject. However, in light of his track record we won’t be holding our breath.
