Al-Ya'bub Al-Ya'bub[1] is the idol of the Jadilah[2] of the Tayyi'. Previously they had a different idol; but the banu-Asad[3] took it away from them. Consequently they adopted al-Ya'bub in its stead. Said 'Abid[4]:
Be still, therefore, O Jadi[lah], and abstain from food and drink[5]." | |
