Thou 1 art my Son,
This day have I begotten thee?
and again,
I 2 will be to him a Father,
And he shall be to me a Son?
And when he again bringeth in the firstborn into the world he saith, And 3 let all the angels of God worship him?
And of the angels he saith,
Who 4 maketh his angels winds,
And his ministers a flame of fire:
but of the Son he saith,
Thy 5 throne, O God, is for ever and ever;
And the sceptre of uprightness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.
Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity;
Therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee
With the oil of gladness above thy fellows.
And,
Thou 5 Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth,
And the heavens are the works of thy hands:
They shall perish; but thou continuest:
And they all shall wax old as doth a garment;
And as a mantle shalt thou roll them up,
As a garment, and they shall be changed:
But thou art the same,
And thy years shall not fail.

We content ourselves with only one more passage, that in which it is written: 'The 2 grace of God hath appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us, to the
intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly and righteously and godly in this present world; looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory
of our great God 3 and Saviour Jesus Christ.'
From these passages and others similar in the Epistles of St. Paul it is clear that he taught the doctrine of the perfect and sinless humanity and the essential Deity of the
Lord Jesus Christ. But we have already seen that the other Apostles
(الحواريّون) teach exactly the same doctrine, and that this doctrine was first taught them by the Lord Jesus Christ
Himself. It was evidently therefore no later accretion, no corruption of the teaching of the Gospel, but on the contrary it was of the very
