Does God pray to Himself?

Al-Kadhi does not give convincing reasons to believe that God in a fallen world would not in fact communicate with God in heaven.

When American soldiers in the swamps of Vietnam needed instruction, they got on the radio and called HQ for help. Though they were in Vietnam, they were still American. So too, Jesus, descended from heaven, laying aside the direct excercise of his divine attributes, entering into the marshes of this fallen world, to live the live as the true man in obedient dependence to God. When the battle was intense, He called the Father for help.

The assumption that He was not divine will of course cloud our understanding of why He prayed, but we do not accept that assertion. To do so in the face of scripture which clearly calls Jesus God is to play editor to the inspired Word of God.

As Al-Kadhi has written from the Koran: "Allah is Able to do all things."

Jesus can be and is God whether Muslims like it or not. As it is written, "Every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father." That includes Mohammad.
