My Story
From the time I was a student at university up until the present I have had the pleasure of meeting many Muslims. We have often spoken about the things of God, and in doing so I have read translations of the Qur'an, much of the Hadiths, the early Sira material, and other books they have recommended. I have learned from Islamic scholars how to read these books in their proper context. The first few Muslims I spoke to attacked the Bible and Christianity. They gave me books and videos by men like Ahmed Deedat, Jamal Badawi and others. Many of the issues they raised I had never heard before, so at first I did not know what to think. I decided that I must take these objections seriously and investigate them. These articles are the result of my research. Each is a reply to an issue that a Muslim has raised with me or I have heard Islamic leaders say. I wish I did not have to discuss these issues, but they seem to have greatly influenced the way many Muslims think so I feel I have no choice. My desire is that we can work through our differences and agree on God's will. This type of discussion is not easy or comfortable but what other choice do we have if we want to know the truth? If you are a Christian you too may have had to face these issues when talking to Muslims. I hope my articles can help you to make progress in your discussions. If you need help with an answer contact me, I may be able to help, and training is available. If you are a Muslim then you may have heard of these issues from your leaders, in fact you may have used these arguments to attack Christians. If this is you then please read these articles with an open mind and see whether or not I have answered the issue. Regardless of who you are feel free to contact with any questions, comments or corrections. |
